The first 4K transmission in accordance with DCI
On the occasion of opening of the new laboratory of high definition at Colchester, Great Britain, as a result of cooperation between PSNC and the University of Essex, the first presentation of 4K video streaming according to the standards determined by the Digital Cinema Initiatives was carried out.
We used a prototype system for compression and decompression of the JPEG2000 format, provided by the Belgian IntoPIX brand. The transmission was carried out via RTP protocol, all the parameters in accordance with the standards.
