"Cisco Systems and PSNC aren’t new partners , both companies have been working together for 15 years , including the 6NET project. We Gould like to strengthen our cooperation" - said Graca Carvalho from Cisco Systems on Thursday meeting.

"Potential areas in which we want to enhance our cooperation is video-conferencing, high-definition television and cloud computing, but the precise areas of possible cooperation will be determined only after close examination of our business plans for the next 5-8 years. That's what we are here for" -added Mark Moskal from Cisco Systems Poland.

"Through this cooperation PSNC, with its achievements in building an optical Internet PIONIER network and developing future Internet technologies in academic and research environment, can also exchange experience with partners from the commercial environment. This is a very valuable experience" - said Artur Binczewski, the Head of PSNC’s Network Department during the Thursday meeting.

The Cisco Systems delegation spent two days in Poznań, from 13th to 14th January.
