On 23rd and 24th February at the headquarters of PSNC was held a meeting on a new project called Silhouette. The meeting was devoted to the preparation of a detailed timetable of the first phase of the project. Meeting was chaired by representatives of PSNC - a lead participant of the project.
Silhouette Project is implemented under the mini-program Creator and financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg IVC (www.creator7.eu). Silhouette will identify and share practices, knowledge and tools facilitating wide adoption of ICT-based solutions enabling active, healthy and social lifestyles of the elderly.
The project will:
- compare the needs and roles of the elderly in local communities in all Creator regions
- evaluate the effect of existing ICT solutions to support needs of seniors
- perform a joint trial of transferable services and products
- define common recommendations for regional development strategies
Analyzed and demonstrated solutions address three key areas of interest for active seniors in the community: health security, modern communication and support outside the home.
The February meeting was attended by project participants: Lead Partner in Wielkopolska (PSNC, Poland), as well as other members: Innopark Programmes Ltd. (Häme, Finland), Umeå University (Västerbotten,Sweden), FUNDACION CTIC – Technological Center (Asturia, Spain), University of Metz (Lotaryngia, France), University of Miskolc (North Hungary) and Valle Sabbia Solidale (Brescia, Italy).
