PSNC research results at EUROPOLTECH fair
From 13th to 15th April in Warsaw the International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security EUROPOLTECH 2011 is held. The event will be attended by representatives of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, who during the second day of the conference will present the results of research carried out under the Polish Platform for Homeland Security.

The fair is connected with the 5th International Police Conference “Science and innovation and the state security system”, to participate in the police management of European countries and representatives of the scientific community were invited.

Prof. Grazyna Demenko from PSNC during the plenary session will present sources of innovation in the area of EU security in the presentation on technology applications dedicated to the automatic acquisition and processing of verbal information in police work. As part of the panel sessions, PSNC technical director Dr Maciej Stroiński will present the results of the research project “Information and knowledge management for services with higher levels of security”.

Attendees will also be able to learn about the effects of other projects taken up by the Polish Platform for Homeland Security. There will be lectures of interesting guests from abroad. The conference will be opened by the Chief Police Commander Major General Andrzej Matejuk, and the opening sessions include speeches of prof. Jerzy Buzek – European Parliament President and Prof. Barbara Kudrycka – Minister of Science and Higher Education.
