On 7th and 8th June already the Polish edition of “Hack4Europe” will be held in Poznan. This international gathering of programmers, during which the experimental applications, using the metadata available through Europeana, will be built. Marcin Wilkowski from “History and the media” service spoke to Marcin Werla, team leader of Digital Libraries in the PSNC Network Services Department about the upcoming event, open data and Europeana.

The conversation begins with a very important issue – open data of cultural heritage. Marcin Werla explains why this “openness ” is so important. We also learn what kind of and how much data Europeana possesses and plans to make available. Team leader of PSNC Digital Libraries also reveals to readers a strategic four year Europeana plans.
