XVI Symposium “Burns 2012”
From 24-26 May 2012 16th Symposium of Polish Society of Burn Treatment – “Burns 2012″will be held in Poznan. The event will be recorded by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
The symposium is organized every year for over forty years. Each edition, including this year’s edition, hosts many outstanding professionals from the field of treatment of burns and plastic surgery.

This year’s symposium will focus on the following topics:

1. Surgical treatment of burns. The time and range of treatments – nekrektomia, transplants.
2. Choice of fluid therapy. Indications for intubation, tracheotomy. Indications for renal replacement therapy.
3. Enteral and parenteral nutrition. Optimal selection of components and procedures.
4. Thromboembolic – emboli complications in the treatment of burns. HIT. Bleedings.
5. Skin equivalents. Cultures of keratinocytes. Integra.
6. Children burns. Separateness in the treatment of burns.
7. Plastic surgery in the after burns reconstructions.
8. Modern dressings in treating burns.
9. Nursing care and rehabilitation of burns.
