PIONIER for the changing world

Another, already 22-nd edition of the largest HPC environment meeting, Supercomputing Conference, took place in 14-20 of November 2009 in Portland, Oregon, USA. For the fourth time PSNC in collaboration with the PIONIER Consortium presented the Polish achievements in the branch.

This year Computing For The Changing World was the leading issue of the meeting. Presentations covered the use of high performance computing in bioinformatics, climate and weather modelling, renewable energy simulating and so called 3D Internet, which stands for cutting edge graphical solutions of visualizing processes resulting from high performance computing.
