ADDONAS

Active Distributed and Dynamic Optical Network Access Systems

The ADDONAS project is utilizing Software Defined Networking concepts to deliver highly dynamic controlled infrastructure for flexible service delivery in metro and access networks. The ADDONAS project proposed architecture solutions in two areas - at the infrastructure level as well as on the software control level thus providing complete solution for access/metro networks. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center supported architecture design and created prototypes of control software for service and network management.

The project consortium consisted of: Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, Intune Networks, KEYMILE, CSTG and the University of Bristol.

Work in the ADDONAS project was financially supported by Narodowe Centrum Badan i Rozwoju (PL), The Technology Strategy Board (UK) and Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (DE) under the FP7 PIANO+ initiative
