The Open Preservation Foundation (OPF) sustains technology and knowledge for the long-term management of digital cultural heritage, in all its forms. It provides to the members reliable solutions to the challenges of digital preservation through technology stewardship, knowledge exchange, and advocacy and alliances.
OPF was founded in 2010 as the Open Planets Foundation to sustain the results of EU-funded R&D Planets project. It currently stewards the leading portfolio of open-source digital preservation software and enables the development of best practice through interest groups, community events, and training. OPF vision is shared solutions for effective and efficient digital preservation.
PSNC is one of the affiliated members of the OPF.
