EGEE / EGEE II / EGEE III
EGEE / EGEE II / EGEE III
EGEE III is a continuation of the EGEE and EGEE II, which initiated the work for the preparation of the computing infrastructure for a wide range of scientists from different disciplines. The project focused on three issues:
- build a consistent, safe and fair working Grid, which will be accompanied by new computational resources;
- maintaining the functionality and continuous improvement of software tools, in order to ensure a good level of service to users;
- attract new users from science and industry and provide them with assistance and training at a high level.
EGEE project was funded by the European Commission and the Ministry of Science and Information Technology from April 2004 to March 2006.
