Search results
Two innovative computing systems, installed late last year at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), have recently been made available for the Polish scientific community.
Activities performed by PSNC Digital Libraries Team in frame of the IMPACT project resulted in a set of full text versions of selected Polish historical documents from four digital libraries in Poland.
Distributed Catalogue of Polish Libraries (KaRo), allowing to search the contents of library catalogues from several Polish libraries (including National Union Catalogue and the National Library) is available in the new version - KaRo 3.
Early in 2012 IMPACT Centre of Competence will gain its final shape and will be able to cooperate and help all interested in mass digitization. Because the initiative is an effect of the European IMPACT project, key roles in the centre initiation play project partners.
Conference4me, conference mobile assistant, has been deployed for the seventh IEEE e–Science conference, sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society´s Technical Committee for Scalable Computing (TCSC), will be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 5th – 8th December 2011.
Supercomputing Conference will be held from 12th to 18th November 2011 in Seattle, which is the world's largest meeting for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis. Polish achievements in this field, for the sixth time, will be presented by Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center and the PIONIER Consortium.
Future Internet Week will be held in Poznan from 24-28 October 2011. The conference consists of a series of events organized under the aegis of the European Union - "Future Internet Event" (Future Internet Conference and the Future Internet Assembly) and a number of interesting side events. We would like to invite you to the final conference of the IMPACT project, “Digitisation & OCR: Better, faster, cheaper. Solutions of the IMPACT Centre of Competence and future challenges” that will take place on 24-25 October 2011 at the British Library in London. At this conference IMPACT will present the final project results, along with related research in the field of OCR and language technology.
Tests on a the new page have been in progress since February 2011, and almost 700 people has been working on it. Although the new version of the web site was available earlier, changes have permanently been introduced only a few days ago.
Winners of the Poznan Hack4Europe edition and winners of the European Commission Hack4Europe in the category "project with the highest business value", met in Warsaw with the Minister of Economy – Waldemar Pawlak.
