Search results
Networking, Storage, GPU, Petascale, Exascale and Cuda are just some of the key issues raised at this year's Internet Supercomputing Conference in Hamburg. Projects presented at the PIONIER Consortium and PSNC’s stand perfectly fit into the theme of the ISC 2011.
Especially for the Internet users sessions and talks with invited guests at speakers of the 5th Microsoft Innovation Center Conference will be broadcast on the Internet. Live broadcast from the Centre for Science of Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan will be provided by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
In April and May 2011 installation of a new DWDM optical transmission system of ADVA Optical Networking has been completed in the PIONIER network.
On 20th may 2011 Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center started cooperation with ITTI Ltd. from Poznan in the field of IT security. The consortium has been created as a result of collaboration between entities from the commercial market, providing complex consulting services within the scope of IT security.
PSNC and Microsoft Poland invite to the fifth anniversary conference of Microsoft Innovation Center in Poznan, organized on 16th June 2011. Admission is free of charge and the registration can be done from now on.
IBM has signed an agreement with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling in Warsaw (ICM). Thanks to the agreement new computational machines, purchased within POWIEW project, will be available.

MCG, Multimedia City Guide, again proved to be the best. During the International Conference V4DiS/ISSS LORIS in Hradec Kralove, Poznan received a Euro Crest Aw@rd for the best website in 2011 in the contest of the best site of the city.
QualiPSo project came to an end. In Brussels took place on the final design review project. Formally, the completion of QualiPSo took place in January this year.
On the 28th of February Europeana published its API, compatible with the OpenSearch standard. With such API external applications and Internet services can search in the information aggregated in Europeana and use such search results outside of it.
