On the 28 February number of objects available via Polish Digital Libraries Federation reached 900 000.
For the third time already PSNC, Wielkopolska ICT Cluster and the City of Poznan will present their achievements at CeBIT in Hannover (6-10.03.2012). It is the largest European event in the field of ICT that will be held under "Managing Trust – trust management” theme.
During the exhibition in Stockholm (22-23.02.2012) concerning projects grouped around Celtic-Plus initiative, the HIPERMED telemedicine platform was also presented. Take a look at the photorelation from the PSNC stand.
On 22-23 February 2012 Celtic-Plus Initiative will be held in Stockholm. During the exhibition, PSNC will demonstrate the telemedicine platform developed under the HIPERMED project.

On Saturday, February 18, 2012, next edition of the popular all over the world TEDx event entitled "4M: City Ground Machine Brain" will be organized in Poznań. The event will be held at the center of design and creativity of Concordia Design (Old Printing House) 3 Zwierzyniecka Street. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center is an official partner of the conference.
At the beginning of February 2012 the total number of digital objects visible in Europeana and provided by Polish culture and science institutions exceeded one million. More information about the Polish Digital Libraries and digitization is presented in the video material prepared by PLATON Scientific HD TV Team.
On February 8th 2012 another data synchronisation between Polish Digital Libraries Federation and Europeana has been finished. Europeana is a portal which aim is to give access to digitised cultural heritage coming from collections of European cultural heritage institutions. This portal is filled with data about cultural heritage objects via a network of so called metadata aggregators – services which are responsible for gathering data from cultural heritage institutions and passing it to Europeana (with some additional processing if necessary).
Poznań City Hall joined Wielkopolska ICT Cluster as a supporting member. The official accession took place January 18, 2012 during a meeting of the WKlaster Board. With the new member, the cluster will be able to apply for the realization of large European projects, and the City will gain the ability to implement the latest technologies. Poznań City Hall colaborates with Wklaster since its foundation in 2008. Previously, however, the City has been partner in the selected initiatives, such as ICT Wielkopolska project.
Two innovative computing systems, installed late last year at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), have recently been made available for the Polish scientific community.
